Sowing Seeds of Faith

This weekend I spent many hours in my yard. I planted our garden, helped my neighbor plant hers, sprayed round-up on some killer weeds (they know how to grow 'em out here!) and then I did my share of weeding. Anyone that really knows me understands that this is not really my thing, but I felt very blessed to have the opportunity to have a yard to need to take care of and I do admit I feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when my efforts result in a beautiful yard and a bountiful harvest.

I do also love the parallel to nurturing our faith. Just like weeds can easily overrun what might have otherwise been a thriving garden, when we don't care for ourselves spiritually we too can be overrun my sin and neglect.

I'm so thankful to be able to go to church weekly and be renewed. And to have access to scriptures and words of the prophets to be the "Round Up" in my life.

"The West Bank, where the end of the world will begin." This happened 2000 years ago.

Just like the gods:::Change the rules in the middle of the game.
To their advantage, of course.
I've always had respect issues, especially once I understood the Holocaust.
You don't employ a strategy like this when you have to push people into their evil. The only reason why this happened was so you could maintain your schedule for the 20th century.
Fuck you.

7 billion in 2011. Only 1 billion in 1800 and 2 billion in 1900.
Population explosion is a clue::::The gods are sending everyone back for The End.
There must be some purgatory-like place. Or individual. Like an animal.
Now the gods have sent everyone back to try for one final time to fix their problems and ascend into heaven. Avoiding an animal would have been a big positive because those thrust into this decayed enviornment have less of a chance than those who enjoyed the god's generosity of a slowly decaying enviornment with frightening clues, like the Depression, World at War, the Holocaust, etc.
Anything that can get the poeple frightened and praying is a good. thing. Contentment never motivated anyone.

As we approach the Apocalypse the gods are removing "wrath of god" material from xtian dogma.
As we see wickedness spread throughout the country, like preditory behavior, godlessness, social changes, etc, using cable TV and the spread of "Californication" as justification, they changed xtianity, appropriatly with Catholicism first.
xtianity has changed radically in the 20th century, and everyone should be mindful of the way it was, because the people are in a process of slipping out of god's favor into a state of Damnation, from which the vast majority will never survive.
They used to scare people and make them too afraid to make mistakes. Now people aren't afraid of anything and don't think twice about doing something wicked and evil which will hurt their chances.

Employment charity:::Was W able to do his job as President?
I suspect there are many frat-boy types who couldn't or wouldn't study nor do the work necessary so they signed on to this "benefit" telepathically. This could have been extended to their professional life as well::In most of these cases they don't have what it takes to do their jobs. It is a temptation which buys their confidence for life, ensuring no progress is made.
I think employment charity is FAR more common than people may believe.
Another example how they tempted people in this manner is the procurement of sexual relations.
Keep raping these poor girls. You're going to end up as one in your next life.

Another feature which the Gods offer as a clue is very foreboading and ominous. Mt. Zion is a mountain to the north of Diablo (the eye of The Beast) and one which has a working quarry at its base. Consistant with the decay we experience in society, Mt. Zion is being eaten away, slowly stripped of its resources, until one day paradise will be gone forever.

If people only understood the importance of good parents. You won't be going anywhere without them. And it won't happen unless you are one first.

Whimsical management=Unstable pathology:::

*2006 Hawaii-Jewelry
*Ivan/Wilma-SCUBA
*Haiti-slaves
*Chile-crappy fruit

60 Minutes on Loughner. They share the theater of the Situation is taking advantage of this event to analyze me.
Why do you think it happened? This isn't the first such example. Only the most infamous.
I'm sure you got some excuse. Just like Mustang Ranch.
You've compromised your integrity so hard you no longer deserve the label "gods".

Amen, it's all about cultivation isn't it? Tilling up that hard ground (our heard hearts), weeding and getting the garbage out of the way, the stuff that wants to choke the joy out of what He has in store for us ... anyway ... Just cruising through some blogs and came across this ... looks like it's been a while since you wrote but I wanted to drop a note and let you know that I am lifting you up in prayer ...

Your brother in Christ,
Matt

Just passing thru after viewing another blog on Blogspot. Anyway, my family is rife with depression and I got a triple dose through my Moms side of the family. Twice I have ended up in the hospital doing what was necessary to end my life but making phone calls at the last minute saved my life. Here's the hope, the good news. I am so far over depression that it seems that that guy never existed before. My theory, psychology can help for sure but only the spirit of God can eradicate. I kept believing for miracles and they came after hard work an in stages but they came and they were clean and powerful. The same goes for you. Faith (I know you know all this) keeps the door open for the Spirit of God to do what no one else can.

I wish you the best in life and know that complete and total deliverance is available.

On February 18th, 2011, the Islamic Republic of Iran kidnapped Mousavi, Karroubi, and their wives: the leaders of the Iranian Green Movement. This is an illegal action, as it has been the case for numerous arrests, tortures, rapes, executions, assassinations, and other terrorist activities in Iran and around the world by this Islamic regime in the past 32 years. You may or may not know Mousavi, Karroubi, and their wives. You may or may not care who they are. You may or may not agree with their political views. At this time, they are the prisoners of a monstrous regime. If you are a citizen of this world, you should stand up to this destructive evil. This is not an Iranian problem; this is a global problem. Speak up because it matters!

You make such a beautiful comparison here. It's so true that if we don't nurture ourselves spiritually we will be taken over by those pesky and dangerous weeds of sin.

It's also cool to think of God as the ultimate Gardner :)

question for you - you have faith in Jesus... but is there more YOU have to do for Salvation? "It is by grace you have been saved through faith and not of works..." I just wondered about the Mormon faith and those words regarding Salvation through Jesus Christ and Him alone...? Just wondering what you thought.

Hi Marianne! I stumbed onto your site by ramdomly clicking the "Next Blog" button at the top of the one I was originally viewing. It's been years since you posted on your blog and I hope you have beat the depression you have suffered through. I must tell you that I am an LDS woman that has been through depression. What I found in my later years is that I was always active in church but I didn't take time for ME! Don't forget to put yourself on the list! It makes a BIG difference. Heavenly Father doesn't want us to neglect ourselves but to nurture ourselves so we grow too. We spend so much time serving others that we forget to serve ourselves because it seems selfish. I am in my mid fifties now and haven't been depressed for a good 15 years but the feeling of lost years of neglecting to love myself has taken a toll in some ways. With that said, I am happier now by listening to my inner voice and developing MY talents for me not just for the church. A balance must be made.
Stay well!
